In this unit we worked the present perfect simple and the past simple.
Also we worked basic skills, adjectives and the specific order.

WRITING

Billie Joe Armstrong was born on 17th February, 1972 in Oakland, California. Billie was interested in music at a young age. He went to the Hillcrest Elementary School in Rodeo, where a teacher encouraged him to record a song.
In 1987, Armstrong formed a band called Sweet Children with her friend Mike Dirnt. Then in April 1989 they changed their name to Green day.
In 1990, Armstrong met Adrienne Nesser at one of the concerts of Green Day. They married on 2 of July 1994. Now is the vocalist, the song writer and the guitarist for the ban Green Day and their songs are very famous and popular.

UNIT 4: THE ABOLITION OF SLAVERY

Toby tells us about Hull and it's most famous resident, William Wilberforce. Wilberforce was a politician who campaigned against slavery. The British slave trade was abolished within his lifetime, but continued campaigning because he wanted to free slaves all over the world.

UNIT 3: MUSIC

Roxanne explains the history of listening to music and explores how computers and the Internet have changed the way we listen to music. She interviews a band called The Half Rabbits and asks them about the impact of the Internet on music today.

3-7 of May

In this week on Monday was free day. On Tuesday was a fantastic day because we pass the exams of Mathematics, Catalan and Technology and in the afternoon we record the video of thriller and it was fantastic. On Wednesday we do the three units of DVD's. And finally on Friday we did the exam of phrasal verbs.

UNIT 1: THE ANGEL OF THE NORTH

Now we are in Newcastle. The presenter tell us about the city and it's most famous work of art, the Angel of the North, created by Antony Gormley. We see this huge sculpture on a hill just outside the city and learn about how it was built. Also the presenter tells us the characteristics the sculpture.

UNIT 5: DUBLIN

Dublin is the capital of Ireland and is largest city. 2 milion people left Ireland during the famine. Dublin has got great museums and galleries for example the Trinity College started in the sixteenth century and it's a great place to shop. In Dublin there is a statue of Oscar Wilde who was a funny writer. The university of Dublin is the oldest in Ireland and Temple Bar is a great place for people to enjoy themselves.

UNIT 2: GUIDE DOGS FOR THE BLIND

In this unit Joe is training for a charity race and he is going to raise money for guide dogs. Later he visit the Guide Dogs Training Centre in Leamington. He meet the guide dogs and find out what makes a good guide dog and how they are trained.
The Guide Dogs Training Centre it started in 1934. There are nearly tow million blind and partially sighted people in the UK and some of them use guide dogs. Guide dogs help blind people.

UNIT 2: CYBER TEENS

In this unit we work about the Cyber Angels. Cyber Angels was a persona who fight child pornography and prevent stalkers from bothering innocent people.

Also, we work the PAST PERFECT SIMPLE and TIME EXPRESSIONS for example by the time, last week, when, already, while...
Then we work the ADVERBS OF INTENSITY and the SOME/ANY/NO.
In the BASIC SKILLS we work the connectors for example and, but, so and because. And finally in the VOCABULARY we work the WORD BUILDING WITH ADJECTIVE SUFFIXES as luxuryous, creative, powerful, careless, dependable, useful....

Also we do a writing about an E-MAIL.

UNIT 1: BATTLE OF THE SEXES

In this unit we work how to write a writing about an opinion. Also we work adjectives and prepositions like of, to, about, at, with, on...
Then we work the word order:

subject + verb + object + manner (how) + place (where) + time (when)
The students are discussing the problem quietly in class now.


Also we worked the present simple and continuous and some phrasal verbs.

Vocabulary: look after, marks, reflect, fail, dependable, achievement, subject, pass, pay, realise...

Finally we did a writing an opinion which we express our opinion about school exams, the advantatges and the disadvantatges.

Marc: I passed all of my exams.
Pol: Hey! Well done! That's great. What grades did you get?
Marc: One As, four Bs and tow Cs.
Pol: No! Really? That's incredible! How on earth did you do that?
Marc: I dunno. I must be a genius.
Pol: So are you going to celebrate?
Marc: Yes. I can't wait to tell Mum and Dad. I'm going to call them right now.

MONSTERS vs. ALIENS

Well, there's a title that says it all. This is not a film trying to create an air of mystery, is it? It will be no surprise to you, therefore, to learn that Monsters vs. Aliens concerns an alien invasion of Earht. Luckily, we have monsters on ourside, including a 20-metre-tall blonde called Susan, a jelly-like blob called Bob, an a brilliant scientist with the head of a cockroach. Fans of 1950s science fiction may have noticed that these characters are all inspired by classic B movies such as Attack of the 50-Foot Woman nad The Fly. That alone, however, is probably not enough to keep most adults amused, but if you do see it, make sure you see it in 3-D (now, there's a true B-movie touch).

THE INTERNET IS A BETTER INVENTION THAN BOOKS.

The Internet has changed the world because it’s useful to search information and to communicate. Before the Internet was invented the people send letters because it was the only way to communicate.

These days it is easy to communicate by the Internet. Also the Internet is faster than other systems of communication and we can communicate more easily.

Books, on the other hand, are simpler than the Internet. The advantages are that you learn new words when reading. And the disadvantages are that the books are long and need much time to read.

All in all, I think that the Internet is a better invention, because it helps to communicate faster and also helps to find information quickly.

Linkin Park was formed in California in 1996. The members were Chester Bennington, Mike Shinoda, Joseph Hahn, Brad Delson, Rob Bourdon and Dave Phoenix Farrell. Most of the lyrics are written by Chester Bennington.
Linkin Park's first album, Hybrid Theory, was released by Warner Bros records in 2000. His best albums are Hybrid Theory and Meteora.
Linkin Park play Nu metal, rap metal, alternative metal, alternative rock. The band has won a lot of prizes for their music and videos. They were won a lot of MTV music awards and two Grammy.

First Week (1-5)
This week we have done an a biology and technology exam and it's so difficult. Also we had a lot of homework but it's easy. But this week was good.

Second Week (8-12)
This week, on Tuesday we did a Maths exam and I had 5.5. I think that exam was difficult. On Wedsnay Marc Matamala had an accident when he exit the school. On Thursday we went to the cinema we wathced Invictus and it's so great and in the afternoon we went to see Marc Matamala in his house.

Third Week (15-19)
On Monday we weren't go to school because it's Carnival. On Tursday we done an Spanish exam and 2n and 3r ESO was in an excursion during the rest of the week.

Fourth Week (22-26)
In this week we have do two exams, English Exam and Catalan Exman. On Friday we done an Spanhish debat and it's so interesting.
